The primary objective of the Hammersmith & Fulham foodbank is the prevention or relief of poverty in and around the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. In particular, but not exclusively by 1) the provision of of emergency food parcels to individuals in need and/or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty; 2) providing practical advice and support to individuals, either directly or by referral to approved partner agencies; thereby enabling them to find lasting relief from financial hardship.
As well as offering emergency food parcels, we also run children's holiday clubs, a cookery and meal planning course - called 'Eat Well Spend Less', drop-in sessions for the community, based at our Hub in W12; and provide professional advice via two Citizen's Advice workers, based in our Foodbank Centres.
In recognition that poverty is both cause and effect of emotional ill health, Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank will be partnering with the U.K. Council of Psychotherapy to provide therapy and counselling to the residents of the borough. The project shall be named 'FOOD FOR THOUGHT' Due to ...
